Best Place to Install Fifth Wheel Trailer Wiring Harness 50-97-410 on a 2014 Ram 3500
Question:
For a 2014 Ram 3500 LWB pickup, where would be best location to install this harness inside the bed? I want it on the drivers side but how far from the rear and how high? I have heard behind, above and in front of the drivers wheel well as suitable locations but I dont want a 2 inch hole in my truck from a mistake. Thanks for your help on this.

When we install 5th wheel/gooseneck wiring in a truck bed we typically place it behind the driver side wheel well just above the the top of the wheel well and about 10 to 12 inches from the tail gate. There really is no right place to put it. The best place is what is going to work best for you.
I have included a link to a video showing an installation of harness # 50-97-410 in a truck. This is the usual place or the general vicinity we would install it. I have linked a second video for a similar product on a 2011 Ram and we installed it a little lower.
