Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller Installation in a 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel
Question:
Hello, If I wanted to purchase and install this, what wire harness would I need? The Citadel doesnt have the factory tow package, but I was told it is already equipped that I just need to add the hitch itself and the brake controller. Are there any other things I would need than the brake controller and the wire harness? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
The first thing you will need is a 4-way trailer connector. For that you will need to install the Curt Wiring Harness part # 56146KIT. This portion of the wiring will control the turn signal functions of your trailer.
Next to install the Prodigy P3 brake controller # 90195 you referenced you will need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. For that you will need the 4 to 7-way Adapter Kit part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions for this and an install video for you to check out also.
If you need a hitch you could get the Curt Hitch part # C13182. This is the most popular hitch we sell for your vehicle. Video attached also.
For ball mounts you could get the etrailer.com ball mount kit part # 989900. This comes with two ball mounts and two hitch ball sizes 1-7/8 inch and 2 inch.
