Recommended Hitch for a 1997 Dodge Van
Question:
1997 Dodge 3500 VAN Hello, We would like to add a front mount hitch for an E bike rack. Can you help? If no front mount hitch receiver for our specific van, is there a bumper hitch that would work?

I have a couple of rear mounted hitches that will work on your 1997 Dodge 3500 van but they don't make any front mount ones. Sorry about that. Which rear hitch you will need is going to depend on what kind of rear bumper you have. I have listed both options below:
Standard Bumper - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13041
Step Bumper - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 13590
For a e-bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY84FR. This is our highest capacity bike rack. It tops out at 80 lbs per bike and fits tires up to 5" wide. This rack uses locking ratcheting hooks on the center mast to hold your bikes securely by the frame. This works great for alternative frame bikes and bikes with fenders.
The Sport Rider SE item # HLY84FR weighs 53 lbs and fits a 2" class III receiver. I have linked a review video below so you can see the functions of this bike rack demonstrated.
