Using Bunk Rollers to Construct a Boat Ramp
Question:
I need to build boat ramps for multiple seadoo pwc. Looking at using 5+ foot roller bunks mounted on 2x6 boards. I need to come up and over 6 to 10 riprap rocks that are about 3 feet out of the water and thus need to build a ramp and a slight incline area to store. Due to large waves I need to store out of the water. What would you recommend for something like this? Looking at multiple rollers per side or longer rollers and probably 2 sections one ramp into the water and another for storage out of water. A winch will also be needed for each pwc. I also read on your site that storing on rollers for a long period of time is not recommended. Was wondering what a long period of timeinch was. I would think storing for weeks wouldnt affect anything but worth the question. Thanks for the info

According to Dutton-Lainson, there would be no problem with a PWC sitting on the rollers for an extended period of time (like over the winter). The roller bunks are meant for boats weighing up to 3,000 lbs, and since a PWC will weigh less than 1,000 lbs, there should be no issue whatsoever.
The # DL21755 rollers you referenced would work great for what you are wanting to do. These particular rollers are meant to be attached to the edge of a bunk, but there are also sets like part # DL21741 that can be mounted flat to the face of the board.
