Parts Needed to Install a Red Arc Brake Controller in a 2023 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

What parts do I need to install a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty in a 2023 Toyota Tacoma Sport? To be mounted hidden, do I need a mounting bracket to fasten it? Also, I have a blank switch knockout in the dash. What do I need to use that? What wiring and plug do I need? The truck has a towing package on it.

To install a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty in your 2023 Toyota Tacoma Sport you will need the following parts:

Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR

Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED99FR

Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-002

You don't need a mounting bracket to mount the main control unit. It comes with slots in the sides for zip tying it some where convenient. It weighs maybe 1/2 lbs and can be mounted in any orientation too. I linked a picture below of the unit installed on another vehicle to give you an example.

I have also attached a couple of pictures below that will show you where to find the factory connector you'll need to install the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness item # RED99FR. The connector you are looking for is behind a kick panel and taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.

The Mounting Panel item # 331-TPSI-002 is specifically designed for Toyota vehicles to mount the control knob in that blank knockout so it has as close to a factory look as possible.
