4-Way Replacement Recommendation to Replace a Thick 4-Way on a 2013 Ford Edge
Question:
I recently purchased a new 2013 Ford Edge that came with a 4-pole flat connector already installed. When I try to connect my trailer which also has the 4-pole connector the plastic part of the receptacle on the car side is too thick. Ive not seen a 4-pole connector this thick before. Is this something Ford does, a new style, or what? Is there a way to adapt to my trailer?

I think the easiest solution would be for you to cut the 4-way off of your 2013 Ford Edge and then wire up a new 4-way to the wires. You could use the 4-Pole part # 18252 you referenced for this and you would be able to connect to your trailer without a problem.
