Recommended Hitch for a 2022 Toyota Highlander LE Hybrid

I have another option but the only Draw-Tite hitch available for a 2022 Toyota Highlander LE Hybrid has been discontinued due to Draw-Tite's parent company Horizon Global being bought out and logistical issues making the hitch unavailable.

Instead, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C99FR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Highlander with included hardware. I checked with Curt and confirmed that this hitch is compatible with the hybrid model. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver.

I really like this hitch because it mounts behind your rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only looks better but it helps with ground clearance. I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up.

Please note that the Curt item # C99FR will only work with a 18" spare tire. If you have a 20" fullsize spare you will need to use the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # EH35VR.
