Trailer Hub Replacement Solution for AL-KO Trailer Axle 362635 A7
Question:
I have a 2000 Palomino Pony tent trailer for which I need a replacement hub. It has 12inch wheel diameter with a 4 stud on 4inch diameter lug nut pattern. The axle is an AL-KO 362635 A7. I dont know the rating of this axle, but I suspect that its a 2000lb rated axle. Unfortunately I dont have any stamped information on the spindles themselves but the inner and outer bearings are both L44649, the spindle OD where the bearings ride is 1.06inch and the spindle OD where the inner grease seal rides is 1.23. My confusion is that I see several pre-assembled hubs available that are compatible with my spindles 1.06inch OD for the bearings, but they have a grease seal with a 1.5inch ID which wont work with my spindles 1.23inch OD at its grease seal location. Would you be able o recommend a pre-assembled hub that would be compatible with my spindle, or would I need to order one with the wrong sized grease seal and then replace that grease seal with a compatible one during installation?

We can help. So what you would want is the hub part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K that you mentioned as it has the correct bearings that come with it and then since you have a different seal you would need to swap that out with the part # 34823 and you'd be good.
