Recommended Air Bags for 2017 Ford F-150 Towing Travel Trailer With Weight Distribution Hitch

I have a 2017 Ford F150, and tow a travel trailer with a dry weight of 6500 Lbs, and I use a weight distribution hitch with a sway bar, I was wondering if and what air bag helper springs you would recommend for this setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For your 2017 Ford F-150 I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2582. Using air bags with a weight distribution hitch is fairly common. These will give you extra support to keep you level and also reduce strain on your suspension.

I also recommend adding an air compressor like the # F2097. This will allow you to control the pressure in the air bags from the cab of your truck no matter where you go. It is a single path system so it will adjust the pressure in both air springs equally. If you would like to be able to adjust them individually you would need a dual path system like # F2219.
