Highest Capacity Class I and Class II 1-1/4" Bike Rack for E-Bikes

Question:

I have a 2004 Honda Accord. I understand the only hitch available is a 1-1/4 Class 1 for the Accord. I have an e-bike that weighs approx. 64 lbs. Are there any bike racks that can handle the e-bike 65 lb. load with the 1-1/4 hitch? If not, do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are in luck there is one bike rack for a 1-1/4" hitch that is capable of handling a 64 lbs e-bike. It is the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes item # TH903202. This bike rack will fit in both class I and II 1-1/4" hitches. It has a 65 lbs per bike capacity and weighs only 45 lbs.

The EasyFold item # TH903202 also comes with a ramp for you to load your bikes that stores on the rack itself. The padded clamps on the adjustable arms secure the bikes on the rack and will work great with alternative frames and fenders. You can also easily tilt the rack for access to your trunk with a foot pedal.

I have linked a review video below so you can see the functions of this bike rack demonstrated.

If you need a hitch for your 2004 Honda Accord, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11290. It will fit both the coupe and sedan models.
