Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for a 2017 Ford F-250 w/ Inner Brackets Welded to the Frame

Question:

I have a 2017 ford f 250 I notice it has a bracket on each side of the inside frame, aligned where the gooseneck mount would go. Do you have the goose neck plate that attaches to the stick mount

Yes, we do. What you are describing sounds like the Inner Frame Brackets for Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitch item # RP27FR. I have attached a picture below. These come welded to the frame exactly where you described.

With these already on your 2017 F-250, I highly recommend installing the Reese Under-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # RP39FR. This will not only give you a gooseneck hitch but also the factory puck system that Ford installs as an expensive option in their trucks.

I have attached an installation video below where you can see these brackets at the 12:30 mark. The only drawback of this system is you have to remove the bed. As far as value this is the way to go.

If you decided to go with one of the other gooseneck hitches, I recommend the B&W Turnoverball System item # BWGNRK1116. We have spoken with B&W about this before and you'll need those brackets to complete the install.

If you have something different please email me directly a picture and I would be happy to figure out what you'll need to install a gooseneck hitch.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C57008. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
