Do Sealed LED Tail Lights Require any Type Of Sealant When Installing On a Camping Trailer?

Question:

Im replacing/upgrading my tail lights/ turn signals on my camp trailer. The old incandescent fixture had caulking of some sort all the way around. The new lights are the sealed LED type fixtures with the multiple small square elements. Do I still need to add some sort of sealant around the light when I mount it? Thanks.

I do recommend using some Sealant # AL85KV around any areas which allow access into the walls of your camping trailer. This means either holes for the mounting hardware or holes for the wiring. This helps to keep rain water out of your walls which can cause damage/mold to your walls.
