Tongue weight is the figure you need to go by in order to determine the best weight distribution system for you. Tongue weight in this case includes the tongue weight of the trailer, loaded and ready to tow, plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. That would include a portion of the fiberglass camper shell.

Tongue weight is typically 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. A trailer that weighs 6,500 pounds would then have a tongue weight from 650 pounds to 975 pounds. The Pro Series weight distribution system, # PS49583, is rated up to 1,000 pounds tongue weight.

Provided the tongue weight does not exceed 1,000 pounds the system will work fine for you. I have included a link to a help article on determining tongue weight for you. If the trailer is not loaded to its max capacity the tongue weight will be lower. You can also move weight further back on the trailer, if possible, to lower the tongue weight if needed.
