The Swagman Retro Bike Basket, # S90004, is made of steel and painted black. The best way to prevent corrosion is to maintain a layer of paint on the basket. If you notice any areas that become scratched or that have exposed metal, applying a coat of paint will reduce the speed of corrosion. At this time we do not have a bike basket made of another material.
