Replacing A Dometic Duo Therm 3107541.009 In A 2004 Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel
Question:
I need to know what air conditioner/ heater is in my 2004 keystone cougar fifthwheel because I need to change it. The part # to the inside part is 3107541.009. It said it will work with model 579, 590, 595, 600. It’s a duo therm by dometic. What I want to know is it a duct or non duct, do I have to replace with the exact same one and I have a nest thermostat and I wanted to see if it would be comparable with the air conditioner I need? That was the only part # I found but when I looked it up it was only inner part. Plus I would like to upgrade it. Please let me know I have been trying to figure this out for days.

I can certainly point you in the right direction. The Dometic Duo Therm 3107541.009 is a model that we see fairly frequently. Now I do not have literature on your specific camper that will tell me if it is ducted or ductless, but the Advent units we offer are compatible with both setups.
I recommend for you the Advent Air # ACDOM150. This is made to be compatible with your current Dometic setup, so you will not have to change out anything inside the camper. You will be able to use your nest thermostat just like before. Advent also makes a heat strip # ACMHD which you can easily add on for those chilly mornings. If the Dometic unit you are replacing is original from 2004, this will be a nice upgrade. This will be more efficient and quieter than the old unit.
We also have the Ac unit avaialble in black # ACDOM150B, if that is your preference.
