Recommended Tilt-Away 3 Bike Rack For A 2013 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I have a 2013 Sienna minivan and 3 bikes. I need to have easy access to my trunk because I’m constantly loading and unloading heavy stuff from the back… So a tilt away would be best- so that I don’t trip over the rack as I am loading and unloading my vehicle. what budget options do you recommend?

Very nice. I also have a 2013 Sienna XLE and it is a great van that has served us well.
I have a few options I can recommend here, and it will really depend on what kind of bikes you have.
If you have "standard" bikes like road bikes or mountain bikes, I recommend the Malone Runway # MPG2130. This will hold 3 bikes weighing up to 33 lbs apiece. It does tilt away and will allow you to open the hatch without having to remove the bike rack. This is a solid hanging style rack and includes a built in bike lock for added security. Please note that an adapter bar # MPG2165 may be needed for certain children's, women's, or alternative frame bikes.
If you have heavier bikes or electric bikes I recommend the Yakima Holdup # Y02443-2. This is a 4 bike rack and can hold 4 bikes weighing up to 50 lbs apiece. It will also tilt away from the vehicle for trunk access. This also features a built in bike lock and hitch lock so it is very secure. I know the Yakima rack is a lot more expensive, but a rack like this is basically required for heavier bikes. I personally used the 2 bike version of the Yakima holdup for about 2 years and I was very happy with it.
I have linked a few review videos highlighting each rack if you want to take a closer look.
