Is It Okay To Use Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes On a Trailer With a Folding Tongue?
Question:
I have read some mentions on message boards that converting to EOH may present a problem with swing away tongues due to different forces involved during breaking i.e. pulling instead pushing. Is this true?

I have never seen any issues with a Fold-Away Coupler Hinge # FHDPB350101 being used with an Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Kit # HS381-9067. These coupler hinges are tested for all the forces applied under regular towing conditions including the trailer brakes pulling the trailer away from your truck when stopping.
