Is Replacement R01 Key Available for Rola Roof Rack on a 2007 BMW X5 4.8I with Raised Rails

Question:

Hi I have a Rola roof rack for my BMW X5 2007 4.8I I misplace the key and on the lock barrel it says RO1. If I purchase this key would it open the lock? Regards

The Replacement Universal Change Key # 59321 is designed to only remove and install unlocked lock cores so it unfortunately will not unlock a locked core, plus it isn't compatible with the "R" series of Rola cores.

Your best best to continue using that roof rack is to have a locksmith create a new key for you since the Rola line of products has been discontinued. If you'd rather switch to a new roof rack system that currently has parts available for your 2007 BMW X5 then I recommend checking out the Inno roof rack for the raised rails on your vehicle:

- 42" and 45" Crossbars # INXB108-115
- Flush Feet # INXS100

This system includes lock cores with the feet so that isn't an added cost just to add that feature.
