Is It Normal For the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-148 to Slide Inside the Mounts?
Question:
I just installed a front anti sway bar kit 1139-148 on a 2015 f53 chassis . I torqued the bar were the greased bushings are and I also I noticed that when I tightened them there is a small amount of movement is this correct? When I took it for a road test everything seamed good. When I looked under the rv to check the sway bar I noticed were the greased bushings were that the grease was spread about 1 inch on both sides of the bushings which means the sway bar moves when making turns or the rv sways is this correct ? Haven’t heard anyone mention this. The original sway bar the bushings are dry and doesn’t look like there is any movement.

Everything you are experiencing with the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-148 is normal. The factory components use rubber bushings which tend to stick to the sway bar and prevent it from moving as freely as the Roadmaster of your 2015 Ford F-53 chassis. I have linked an install video below where you can see the bar move inside the mounts during the test drive portion.
