What Do I Need To Install A 7 Way And 4 Flat Plug On A 2018 Ford Transit T250?
Question:
I have a 2018 ford transit 250. Ford says I need two harnesses about 300 bucks to install trailer connections correctly. Have 7pin flat 4 combo. The existing harness has a 6 pin plug by the axle. I believe it is the trailer harness connection point. What do you think we need.

If your vehicle already has the factory tow package, all you would need is a plug like the Curt # C55774. This would just plug in to the existing connector and give you the 4 flat and 7 way plug.
If you do not have the factory tow package we can still set you up, but a bit more will be involved. First you will need the # C56327 for your 4 flat connector. Next we would get you the universal install kit # ETBC7. This kit will include everything you need to upgrade the existing 4 pin connection to a 7 way plug.
From there you will be ready to install a brake controller if needed. I recommend the Tekonsha prodigy P3 # 90195.
I have linked a few install videos below if you want to take a look.
