Suspension Enhancement for 2010 Toyota Tundra with Gooseneck Hitch Installed

Question:

Hello, I own a 2010 tundra CrewMax 5.7L with the towing package. I intend to tow a gooseneck 30ft enclosed car hauler. That means I will need to install the hitch provided on your website and was also thinking of air bags provided by Firestone on my truck as well. I read and saw many videos on the installation of both parts. My question is: can they both be fitted to the same truck since both parts, as to my knowledge, share the same mounting point on the lower frame rail? Is my assumption that they wont both fit correct? Thanks

As you suspected, any of the air bag suspension systems offered by Firestone or AirLift would interfere with the gooseneck hitch. Unfortunately, the two cannot be installed simultaneously.

I would recommend the Timbren Aeon Springs, part # TTORTUN4. These springs would replace your factory bump stops, so they will not interfere with the gooseneck hitch mounting brackets. The springs become progressively stiffer as more weight is added, but will not come into play or affect the ride in any way when the vehicle is unloaded or the gooseneck hitch is not being used. This system is simple to install, and with the 6000 lb capacity, the system will more than accommodate the pin weight of the gooseneck trailer that is applied to the rear of your truck.
