Identifying The Electric Trailer Jack On A 2016 Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Cherokee gray wolf travel trailer that is starting to have issues with the electric tongue jack. I would like your help in identifying what I have. Is there a way to send photos? There seem to be a short or hesitation when I last tried to raise it and I would like to try and fix the two side mounted LED lights. The LED lights are controlled by a push button in the back. The up and down is controlled by a toggle switch on the bottom of the front cylinder. I am trying to find a serial number. The project label on the front is pretty washed out and hard to read. I believe the manual override is underneath the leveling bubble on the top. Thank you.

Based on the pictures you provided it looks like you have a Buyers Products Electric Trailer Jack # 3370093500. We don't currently offer much replacement part-wise but a hesitation or possible short can be traced down. I would start by ensuring you have a good ground connection to the trailer frame. From there you can check your voltage to the jack with a multimeter # PT89ZR. A bad ground or low voltage could cause issues with both the jack and the lights. If you want to replace the switches I recommend reaching out to Buyers directly for replacements.
This jack also has a manual override socket that you'll insert the crank into right under the bubble level.
