No Voltage to 12V Wire When Hitting Brakes
Question:
What is the problem if when I push on the brakes the trailer voltage of my black wire drops to zero?

Damaged wiring most likely; the black 12 volt wire has zilch to do with brakes so it is likely the black 12 volt and blue brake wire is damaged, coming into contact and interfering with the output. Replace as needed with 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 and butt connectors # DW05745-5.
