4-Bike Rack Recommendation for Front of 5th Wheel Tow Vehicle

Question:

Looking for a recommendation on rack for 4 bikes. Since options for 5th wheels are limited we are looking at putting a rack on a hitch at the front of the truck. Would there be any restrictions with installing a bike rack there? I would prefer a platform style rack.

Platform style racks are definitely the better style to go with, but I do hesitate recommending a 4-bike platform for the front of a vehicle, just because of how much it will stick out from your tow vehicle.

For your application I recommend going with the Thule Apex XT Hanging Rack # TH9025XT which sticks out 43-1/4" and can accommodate 37.5 lb bikes. This is going to be a good foot and some inches less than what pretty much every other platform rack will stick out so it will be much easier to gauge where the front of your vehicle is at.
