Why Wouldn't Brake Controller of 2001 GMC Sierra Power On
Question:
Unit does not power up w/oem plug in indicated spot 2nd from left, top row underdash panel. However blue wire at rear of truck gets 11v w/break applied

It sounds like you have an older GM truck and the brake controller you installed isn't powering on. This is a pretty common issue and the reason why is there are some connections under the hood of the truck that need to be made to allow the controller wiring to be active.
