Brakes are Activating on a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox When Flat Towing

Without more information on what you are referencing, it is hard to give a great response. It sounds like you are talking about flat towing your 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. But, that means there could be two separate braking system that are the issue.

That could be the braking system of the Equinix or the supplemental braking system causing the Equinox brakes to turn on. I could not locate a supplemental braking system purchase from us, so there are two different styles it could be (fixed # DM86VR and portable # BLU37TR). If you have a supplemental braking system installed and it is not operating correctly, I would recommend checking the installation of the system to make sure it was set-up correctly.

If it is a problem with the Equinox, I recommend checking the owners manual. Reference the section that goes over "Recreational Vehicle Towing" and ensure that all of the steps have been done correctly.
