Do Bearings Impact Max Speed Rating of Trailer Tires

Does the bearings also play a role in the max speed of a tire?

Expert Reply:
Bearings play no role in the maximum speed of trailer tires. The speed is based on the rating given to the tire from the manufacturer. If you don't have speed listed like on the # AM30020 then you can assume it is rated for the standard speed of 65 mph. If it is higher than 65 a trailer tire will have a rating with a letter like M which would be 81 mph.
