Can Optronics 12V Lights Be Powered By 18V Battery
Question:
I am designing a portable trailer light set utilizing the STL72RB. They are going to be powered from a battery. I would like to use a rechargeable battery the outputs +18V DC. Will this damage the light?

If you directly power the # STL72RB with your 18V battery it will damage the lights. However, you can use the battery if you get a step down converter. These are not something that we carry, but you can find them fairly easily since use of 18V drill batteries in trailers has become popular.
