What Info Is Needed to Pick Out Replacement Trailer Axle
Question:
I want to change out my boat trailer axle, I am seeing the trailer tire towed out and I just replaced the bearings. From what I can tell the axle is rated for 2500 can I change it to 3500#

To pick out a replacement axle we need three pieces of information. We need the capacity (in your case 3,500), we need the distance from hub face to hub face, and we need the distance from spring seat center to spring seat center. Keep in mind we don't have every axle configuration so you may have to find a local trailer shop to you who can order axles.
For example, the part # T3584F-EZ-8974 is a 3,500 lb axle that has a distance of 89 inches from hub face to hub face and 74 inches between the spring seat centers.
