Is The Thule Wingbar Evo or Edge Better For Carrying a Kayak and Paddle Board on a Lincoln Aviator?
Question:
Trying to decide between the WingBar Edge and the Wingbar Evo for my Lincoln Aviator - I plan to put my Kayak and Paddle Boards up there concerned about the Fin Antenna. I dont want to use the kits for them - just strap them to the roof bar as Im not travelling more than 5 to 10 miles. Any suggestions.

I recommend using the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 with the Feet # TH710601 and Fit Kit # TH66RV on your Lincoln Aviator. Having the extra length of the bars will help reduce the chances of your kayak hitting your vehicle when loading and unloading. This fits the new Aviator currently 2020-2023.
The Thule WingBar Edge Crossbars # TH69FE with the Feet # TH89SC and Fit Kit # TH66RV having the rounded ends would allow for the kayak to slide off the edge of the bar and hit the roof edge of your Aviator.
I do recommend using the Pads # TH846000 with your kayak and paddle boards to help prevent damage to the hull which could be caused by just sitting on the bars themselves. Then you can use the Kayak Tie-Down Kit # e36ZR to secure your kayak and the Express Straps # TH531 for your paddle board.
