Do All Yellow Butt Connectors Have Built In Heat Shrink Feature?
Question:
I have yellow butt connectors for my trailer wiring. Do all trailer wiring butt connectors need to be heat shrinked? These sat just to crimp them. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Most butt connectors are not designed with heat shrink built in, only specific ones like the # DW05745-5.
If you have just standard butt connectors like # 224775 you'll need to pick up heat shrink # DW05449 separately. Any connectors exposed to the elements should have heat shrink protecting them.
