Do I Need a Standard or Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2019 Ford F-350 w/ OEM Puck System

Question:

Will the BandW Companion BWRVK3300 work for a 2019 Ford F-350 6 3/4 bed pulling an Alliance Valor All-Access? I have a 2019 Ford F-350 Diesel, SRW, Fx4, crewcab, 6 3/4 bed with factory puck system installed GCWR: 28700 GVWR: 11500 Max 5th wheel towing in this config: 18000. Well be pulling an Alliance Valor All-Access 31A10 Toy Hauler. The All-Access is 34foot 8inch Fifth Wheel, 11150 dry weight, 16500 GVWR, 2100 Hitch weight, with a Rota-Flex pinbox and rounded nose cap or tight turn technology as Alliance calls it. I want to go with the BandW BWRVK3300 and avoid the slider, if possible.

Since your 2019 Ford F-350 has a 6-3/4' bed we always recommend a sliding hitch like the B&W Companion Slider item # BWRVK3370. However, since your 5th wheel Toy Hauler has a rounded nose cap that is designed for making tight turns you should be able to get away with using the standard B&W Companion item # BWRVK3300. You will want to take some measurements though to confirm you have enough room between the back of your truck and your 5th wheel trailer.

I have attached a couple of diagrams below that will show you what needs to be measured. The main advantage of the Companion slider is the 12" of travel you get. This allows you to have plenty of clearance between your rear bumper and the front of the 5th wheel. I am confident you'll have enough nose clearance so you don't bash in you rear window but the measurements in the provided diagrams will confirm you have the proper clearance at the back end of your truck.
