What is less likely to bend a2 3/8 axle or a 2x1/4”

The 2-3/8" Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles item # T3584F-EZ-8974 you were looking at will bend just as easily as any other axle if you go over it's capacity or damage it by hitting a curb or pothole at high speeds. User error bends axles not an 1/8" of thickness one way or the other.
This axle has a 3,000 lbs capacity. An 89" hub-face-to-hub-face length and a 74" spring-center-to-spring-center length.
