Brake Controller Wiring Harness to Instal Draw-Tite Activator # 5500 in 2014 Ram 1500

Question:

Will the 3023-P brake control wiring adapter work with a Draw Tite Activator 5500? Thank you for your assistance and wisdom. 2014 Ram 1500 4x4

The Brake Controller Wiring Adapter you referenced, part # 3023-P is indeed the correct connector for installing a brake controller in your 2014 Ram 1500. One end of the harness will plug into the rear of your controller, the two connectors on the other end will plug in under the dash as shown in the install video I have linked you to. If your Draw-Tite Activator is an older model that has bare wire leads exiting the back of the controller (no plug), then you would cut off the BLACK (not the small or large gray ones) connector on the # 3021-P harness and wire it directly to the brake controller, color for color, using butt connectors like part # 05731-5.
