I recommend adding the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e89YR to your 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid as long as it is not a plug in hybrid. This receiver has a matte black finish with a hidden cross tube for a clean, factory appearance. It has a 2" opening which will allow for a greater amount of hitch mounted accessories such as a bike rack. Be sure to install a T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TE54FR when you install the receiver. This will allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if your bikes or the rack interfere with your tail lights.
I find the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 to be one of our most versatile bike racks for a wide selection of bikes. This can carry 2 bikes up to 65lbs each. If you can tell me what bikes you intend to carry I can confirm if this rack will work or suggest a better alternative.
