Trailer Coupler Hard to Get on & Off Hitch Ball
Question:
I’ve got a 2021 utility trailer with a bulldog coupler on it. As time has gone on, the hitch is very difficult to get onto and off of the ball. I have to bounce on the trailer tongue to get it to pop onto the ball and bounce on the bumper in order to get it to release. It wasn’t like this when I purchased at new, what am I missing? It is a 2 inch coupler, and I am using a 2 inch ball.

You're not missing anything, sometimes couplers - particularly the latch mechanisms - can get dirty or even corroded very quickly. Lubricate the latch with something like WD-40 quite liberally to see if that loosens it up a bit. Also grease the hitch ball regularly which will definitely help make it easier to couple/uncouple.
For the grease you will need to use the Hitch Ball Lube # 58117.
