Solution to Carry Two E-Bikes And Flat Tow A 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman
Question:
We have a 2013 mini countryman s - manual front wheel drive car that we are flat towing. We hope to attach a bike rack to the mini to transport our e-bikes when we flat tow our car. We are having trouble finding a rack that will work. The specs are: 1 Towing two electric bikes bikes - one with fat tires. 2 One bike has a larger fender. I thought the Thule TH903202 would work but the specs show it wont work for flat towing. Do you know why? Do you have any recommendations for another option?

That's going to be your biggest hurdle, is finding a rack that can accommodate your bikes, your hitch and be flat towable.
Since the tongue weight rating on your Mini Cooper is practically nothing, your options are going to be nonexistent. You'd be better off using using the hitch on your motorhome with a bike rack that is compatible with motorhomes like the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # LGA77FR with a dual adapter # MPG544.
This rack would give you all the capacity and range you need for your bikes, is compatible with motorhomes and flat towed vehicles, and also includes locks to secure the rack to your vehicle.
The dual hitch adapter would then allow you to mount both the rack and your tow bars so you can flat tow and use a bike rack.
