Furrion A/C to Replace a Dometic Brisk II Ducted A/C Unit in a 2013 Keystone Montana Mountaineer

Question:

HI, I have a 2013 Mountaineer by Montana made by Keystone. It came with a Dometic 15K Brisk ll Ducted AC. The freon has leaked out. I am interested in replacing it with a Furrion 15K AC that will accommodate the ducting on my unit. What would recommend and what parts will I need to accomplish this? Thanks

The Furrion 15k a/c is a great option and you actually have a couple different routes you could take for making the swap.

One option would be using the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV that you were looking at. This would be a complete a/c kit and would require that you replace both the rooftop unit and the inside components in your 5th wheel.

The other option is to use the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR42PV which is just the rooftop unit. This kit comes with a conversion kit that allows you to use it with the Dometic set-up already in place in your 5th wheel, so you are just swapping out the rooftop unit.

Either option is compatible with your ducted unit and comes with the parts needed to make the switch. It is really just a matter of how much of an install you want to tackle. Personally, if my inside components are still in good shape then I would just swap out the rooftop unit.
