Can Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control Fit Different Trailer Widths

Question:

The Curt tru track weight distribution hitch with the detents and ball bearings to help lock in the straight travel and anti sway. Are the detents adjustable or are all trailers built with the same angle of frame to the ball coupling? If the angle of the hitch frame on the trailer is wider or thinner, wouldn’t that offset the balls and detents of the Curt hitch? The balls wouldn’t seat in the detents if the frame is wider or thinner?

The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17499 will work just fine with the vast majority of trailers on the market. The only time the trailer frame could be a determining factor is if your trailer frame is abnormally wide. Weight distribution systems are designed by nature to have a little bit of flexibility in the trailer frame widths they fit with.

I'm attaching a cutout from the instructions that goes over the different width adjustments for this system.
