Can You Couple the Trailer While Using Reese Slider 5th Wheel Hitch in Maneuver Position
Question:
Can my 5th wheel be connected with slide locked in the rear position? It would make it easier to see the hitch when trying to connect.

Expert Reply:
No, you cannot uncouple or coupler the trailer while a sliding fifth wheel hitch like the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30051 is locked into the rearmost (maneuver) position. This position should only be used at slow speeds when turning in tight spaces. If you need help coupling, a camera kit like the Swift Hitch Digital Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor part # SH02Digital is a better solution for you.
