Replacement Breakaway Switch For A Continental Enclosed Trailer
Question:
I have a continental aluminum 30 it has hydraulic brakes .my question is the emergency brake handle cable was pulled and the handle lock how do I reset it.i can send you a picture. Thanks

If you're talking about the breakaway switch for your trailer not allowing you to push the plunger back in then you can just cut it off and replace it. It's very common for them to corrode over time since they're sitting out in the elements and take a bit of abuse.
You'll just need to pick up another switch like the Replacement Tekonsha Trailer Breakaway Switch # 420000 and splice it in place of your current switch. One wire to the breakaway battery and the other to your actuator, doesn't matter which one goes where. You'll want to use some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10 to seal up your connections and prevent further corrosion.
