Can A B&W Companion Fit The Reese Elite Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
So I purchased the Reese RP87FR rail system as my 2022 F350 Duelly came in without the puck system. I wanted to see if I can use a BW Companion hitch instead of a Reese model. I am reading in the question section where people message in and it seems the answer is yes. I had questioned this to someone in your system earlier and they stated it could only be used with the Reese Elite hitch. Just looking for clarity on this. Thank you in advance.

Yes, the Reese Under-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # RP39FR would allow you to use an OEM base B&W Companion. The # RP39FR is designed with Ford's puck spacing so you would just need the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3300. If you have a shorter bed then you'll just want to switch to the slider base version # BWRVK3370 to ensure you have enough turning clearance for tight turns.
If you don't have an in-bed 7-way then I recommend also picking up the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C69CR to make connecting your trailer's 7-way cable easier.
