Troubleshooting No Power for Trailer Lights at 7-Way on 2017 Ram 1500

Question:

Have a 2017 Ram 1500 with no previous issues. Trailers lights dont work at all. Stop/brake/LT/RT/BU have no voltage. Have power coming to the 7 and 4 pin connectors at the connector but no other functions No voltage on other pins Tested all 6 fuses with Ohm meter and no issues. Could it be a bad ground? doesnt make sense since I have power or a bad connector? Please help as Ive spent countless hours researching. Thank you

A bad ground could be a possibility with any issue, and I would always recommend checking it. It sounds like you're saying the only thing that works on your 7-way is the battery hot lead. Since all of your fuses are good, outside of checking the ground I would say it could only be the connector or a short in the wiring.

Go ahead and take your circuit tester like the # PTW2993 and check the wires right before the connector. If you have power here then the connector is the issue and you should replace it with the # HM40975. If you don't have power here you can rule out the connector and start looking for a short. Inspect the wiring as you work your way back testing for power and repair as needed.
