Can I Use the Load Range D Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ Load Range C Tires?
Question:
I had your Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D Item # 274-000012 on my trailer. It blew due to hitting too many potholes on I-10 by Beaumont TX. The next day, my first spare tire blew probably because of age valve stem was gone and I used my last spare. Since I was only about a ¼ way on our trip, I stopped at the next town to replace both blown tires. They installed Prometer ST Radial ST205/75R14/6 121P. I just noticed the key difference. Yours are load range D with a 65 PSI requirement. Theirs is a Load range C with a 50 psi requirement. Is there a problem with having load range C 50 psi on one side of an axle and a load range D 65 psi on the other side?

Short term to get your trailer home you're good. This is not going to be successful in the long run. The lower-rated tires will run hotter than the higher rated ones. Running them on hot highways through Texas and the southern states will eventually lead to issues. The lower-rated tires are more likely to fail and cause trailer tracking problems. Ideally all four tires will have the same load range.
I recommend replacing your load range C tires before your next trip. The Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire item # 274-000012 you previously had are still available. Meanwhile you will want to make sure you keep the recommended PSI in each tire.
