The OEM connector for the Prodigy P2 # 90885 and Wiring Adapter # 3020-P installation on your 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is located up under the driver's side dash a little to the left of the brake pedal. I'm attaching an installation video of this brake controller and wiring harness on a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 that will be similar and shows where to find that connector.
Here are the things you need depending on what your truck came with (you can verify what it came with by contacting your local Dodge/Ram dealer with your VIN):
- Factory 7-Way - Wiring Adapter # 3020-P
- Factory 4-Way - Wiring Adapter # 3020-P and # ETBC7
- No Wiring - 4-Way Connector # 118329 and # ETBC7
