Recommended Replacement Vent Lid And Sealant For An RV Roof Membrane

Question:

I needed a bathroom vent cover only for a 2018 Dutchmen aspentrail. I also needed to repair the roof membrane where it has pulled up from the front brace, where it meets the front siding. This needs to be re-sealed with some type of sealant. I need your recommendations for both. I have pictures if that helps you. Thank you

Depending on the vent there are going to be some different style lids. That being said, if your vent is 14" x 14" then you can use the MaxxAir UniMaxx Universal Replacement Lid # MA00-335001 regardless of the vent brand/style. This replacement lid includes brackets that you can bolt or rivet in place to mount the new lid and get your vent back in working order.

As for the roof, if you're just wanting to cover over any seams/gaps then you'll just need to use some self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1. This sealant is designed to pool a bit for extra coverage and help seal up the gaps on your roof. If you ever need to seal up anything on the side of your trailer and would be running the sealant vertically then you'll want non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 instead. We also offer patch kits # QR74FR if you have a tear or rip in the roof membrane that you need to fix.
