Does Rubber Hitch Cover For 2 Inch Receiver Cover Hitch Pin Holes
Question:
How far does the rubber plug extend into the receiver? Im wondering if goes far enough in that it covers the hitch pin holes from the inside of receiver. From the mouth of the receiver to the hitch pin holes would be 2 3/4 to 3 inches. Thats the only thing left out of your description and video. Im thinking if it doesnt extend to cover the hitch pin holes water, snow and other grit and grime would enter through the hitch pin holes and still rust the inside of the receiver. Does this make sense to you? If a buyer doesnt ask questions the buyer doesnt know the true answer to both issues.

The hitch pin holes will not be covered by the etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches # 22282 when inserted into your hitch as it will go in 1 inch. That's true of all hitch covers though as they do not go in the hitch far enough to cover the hitch pin holes, just the face of the hitch as that is the largest overall open area of the hitch.
