Can You Mount ST225/75R15 Load Range F Tires On 15 Wheel Thats Only Rated For 2150lbs?
Question:
Good Morning, I am interested in upgrading my current tires on my travel trailer to a higher load range tire. My current setup is, according to the sticker on the side of the trailer, st225/75r15/c and in the inside of the rim is is listed as max weight of 2150. My question for you is can I go up to a higher load range tire safely with my current rims. I am not wanting to increase my load capacity, just want a more robust tire. I was thinking about going with a load range E Thanks,

Yes, you can replace your current ST225/75R15 Load Range C tires with heavier duty load range E tires of the same size, # TR225LRE, and mount them on your current wheels.
Just keep in mind you're still limited to the lowest component between the tire and wheel, which in your case is 2150lbs as that's what the wheel is stamped.
