Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2022 Nissan Rogue
Question:
Can I get a trailer hitch put on my 2022 Nissan rogue SV. It has a 1.5 L engine with a turbo two seats. What is the weight capacity for pulling this with the motor I have who can I get to install it with the wiring harness and not chop up my bumper in order to get it under there. By getting somebody other than the dealer to put it on does that void the warranty on any of the electrical system?

Yes you can add a trailer hitch receiver to your 2022 Nissan Rogue SV. I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e93ZR. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a concealed cross tube. It features a bolt on installation and a matte black powder coat finish for an OEM look. No bumper chopping is required to install this hitch. It looks like the maximum towing capacity of your vehicle is 1,500 lbs, make sure to check your manual to verify this information.
Proper installation of wiring, no matter who does it, will not void the warranty. The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK76FR is the most reliable option. This plugs into the connection points in your rear cargo area and will provide you with a 4-way to power your signal lights.
For a complete towing setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
You can install this yourself or use our dealer locator to find local installers near you. I have attached some installation and review videos, along with a link for local installers below for your reference. All you will need to do is change the zip code.
