Upgrading Tire Speed Specs and LED Submersible Tail Lights on an Ultra-Tow Aluminum 4x8 Trailer  

Question:

I have an Ultra Tow Folding Aluminum 4 x 8 trailer, Item #49803. Has 4.80 12 Tubeless tires on 4 bolt demountable wheels. Load capacity 1170 pounds. The speed rating is 55mph and I want to modify so it will travel highway speeds of 70mph. Do I need to change tires, wheels, hubs, etc? Also want to make the rear lights LED submersible since I use it to trailer and launch a 15 ft canoe.

I have the perfect solution for you with the Taskmaster 4.80-12 Tire # TT48012C.

This tire has a Load Range C (990 lbs at 90 psi) weight capacity per tire and can travel safely up to 81 mph so it definitely fits the bill!

If you need to replace the wheel as well then I recommend checking out the Dexstar Mini Mod which comes in Black # DEX44FR or White # AM20140 depending on what style you'd like for your trailer.

When it comes to the lights I recommend checking out the Blazer lights listed below - they look to be pretty identical to what you're needing to replace, and they are LED and submersible:

- Driver Side # C7483RTM
- Passenger Side # C7493RTM
